Biography: Poonam Pandey, the Indian fashion model and actress was born on the 11th
of March in the year 1991 in the City of Dreams, Mumbai. Poonam has two
siblings, Shraddha and Nilesh. Nilesh is a software engineer by
profession and he is 2 years elder to Poonam.
She had played an active role as a participant in the 4th
season on the television reality show called ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’,
aired on Colors television channel. Reports state that her name had also
been nominated for fifth edition of the television reality show, Big
Boss.
Poonam Pandey had also appeared many
times on the Kingfisher calendar. In the year 2011, she had shot for
around twenty seven calendars. She competed against numerous contenders
and she was selected for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl Hunt 2011. Poonam
was also selected as one of the top eight contestants of Gladrags 2010.
She would be appearing in her very first
film of her career: ‘Nasha’, directed by Amit Saxena. This film has
been jointly produced by Aditya Bhatia and Surendar Suneja under the
banner of Eagle Home Entertainment and this film would be hitting the
theatres on the 26th of July, 2013. This film not only
launches Poonam but also Shivam. In the film, Poonam plays the role of a
woman who would be seen seducing an eighteen year old youngster. She
has also been signed up for the film’s sequel.
Poonam Pandey has been involved in
numerous controversies throughout her career. In the year 2011, during
the world cup tournament she made a statement that she would be going
nude if the Indian national cricket team wins the cup. However after
India won the world cup, she did not fulfil her promise, although she
did post a few of her semi nude pictures and stated that these pictures
would be motivating the Indian team.
Apart from ‘Nasha’, she would also be
appearing in DJ Vipin’s music remix video. ‘Club Troppin’ was Vipin’s
very first album which dealt with the style of the present generation
and it was a chart buster and it was quite popular in the entire glam
world.
