India Fashion Tour 2013

A Fashion Tour 2013 organised its fashion preview in showbiz capital Mumbai on Tuesday (September 17) to provide a sneak peek into the upcoming tour

The preview included 10 designers who individually revealed a creation from their collection with their show-stoppers.

"When you are there, you are showcasing clothes. I will walk down, the difference being that I will be wearing different something new and that is the whole idea. I have walked for Vikram many times so for me every time I walk down, there is always a great sense of déjà vu and happiness because I know he is going to make sure that I will look great and perfect," said Malaika Arora Khan, model and Bollywood actress.

Dressed in various attires both western and Indian, both Bollywood actresses and models posed with their designers for the shutterbugs.

Fashion designer, Vikram Phadnis, said he is designing a dress for Khan, which is both new and different from his previous designs.

"We are going to present her in something really different, have not thought about it as of now. But it is not the typical lehenga-choli (long skirt and a top) and saree. She will come out with something that you do not expect a typical show-stopper is supposed to wear the heaviest, the most exotic, the most different garment. I do not want to do that this year. I want to show Malaika in different light," said Phadnis.

Prominent designers Falguni & Shane Peacock, Vikram Phadnis, Pankaj & Nidhi, Gaviin Miguel, JJ Valaya and Neeta Lulla were present for the preview.

An array of Bollywood celebrities and guests graced the event including, Neha Dhupia, Sameera Reddy and Sophie Choudhary and they looked excited as they all plan to set the ramp on fire.

"I think for every creative person every show is always a new venture and I think that everyone that's going through something in their minds or into their lives they always put it out in point of their creativity. So I think that this time I have actually taken a sequel to my last year's collection, which was "stairway to Heaven", and I am doing "Warriors of Heaven on Earth" so it's the same amalgamation of angels. We have gone in with very grungy looking embroideries but still soft, sexy and feminine because I think women are very strong," said fashion designer, Gaviin Miguel.

The tour with the name "Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2013" is organized by Blenders Pride.

This is the 9th edition of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour and the fashion designers aim to make distinct and unique fashion statements in their respective shows.
